Bosch are to investē over 30 million EUR in Poland!

Last year they “only” spent 21 million EUR. The corporation intends to open an IT centre in Warsaw and a factory for filters for auto diesel engines, in Wrocław.

In May the firm intends to build a new headquarters in Warsaw – it alone will involve the not insignificant sum of 13 million EUR. The construction work is to be finished in 2009. Also in the capital they plan to open an “IT Competence Centre”, in which there will be work for over 130 IT specialists. This will be one of three centres responsible for development and maintenance of the SAP platform and for support of the CAD/CAM systems, for the whole of the Bosch Corporation – PAP stated. The centre should be operational in two years time.

Meanwhile in Mirków near Wrocław – where one of the Bosch’s factories producing braking systems can be found – a plant will be built by the end of 2009, where particle filters for diesel engines will be produced. The factory near Wrocław will belong to a Bosch and Denso joint venture company set up in July of last year, which was named Advanced Diesel Particulate Filters Sp. z o.o. (briefly: ADIF). At the moment the company is striving for a permit to operate in the Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone. According to “PB’s” information the firm is to invest 560 million PLN and create 250 jobs.

The German Bosch Corporation produces, e.g. domestic appliances, car parts and electrical tools. In Poland they employ 1,600 workers and in 2007 their recorded turnover was 868 million EUR – i.e. 11% above the 2006 figure. (PAP/PB)
